Boogie Down
Got up this morning and packed up a picnic into my Nana trolley and walked down to the beach. High tide when we got there, and there was not very much beach for everyone. The beach we went to, is pretty much solely occupied by locals, so every couple of paces is a conversation opportunity. In fact, we dumped our gear on a bit of sand, then jumped straight into the sea, where I ended up gossiping with two different local friends. Nice and social.
We got out of the water to move our gear when a bit more beach appeared, but mostly we swam, snorkelled and boogie boarded. The beach is a very calm beach, but there were a few titchy little waves that the kids were all playing in. The girls had many play mates from school to choose from to play with.
Our picnic lunch went down a treat, and we carried on swimming and playing. It's been a lovely family day at a wee secret to them what's not local beach.
