If I give you the day in numbers you’ll get some idea of why the day felt like an eternity to Clare and I;
0530 - Arrive Heathrow Long Term Parking
0600 - Arrive Heathrow Terminal Two
1030 - Depart Heathrow for San Francisco
2130 - Arrive San Francisco
Now 1330 - Adjusted to US West Coast Time
1430 - Clear Immigration
1830 - Flight to Ontario delayed
1900 - Depart San Francisco
2000 - Land Ontario, Met by Janet and John and delivered to the apartment.
Over twenty-four hours on the move made for a long day but well worth it. I read a lot on the flight and whilst waiting, I also watched the new Mary Pippins film as well as the Laurel & Hardy one, dozed a good deal and generally enjoyed made the best of the whole experience.
Arriving at our destination it was great to see Janet and John, even briefly, before ‘crashing out’ for the night.
