Stringing Along

Helen, Tom and Will set off early, Poppy went to school and the house seemed very quiet. D and I took many, many bags of bottles, cans and plastic cups to the tip for recycling.
As it was hot, I read in the garden for a couple of hours this afternoon. D spent a long time fiddling with the garden lights so that we can keep them up for the rest of the summer.
