Grand old ladies

I'd told the gang that today was relatively easy as we weren't pushing on to Courmayeur as usual. They pointed out (at the end of the day) that it only took 45 minutes less that yesterday's grueling day. I think the leisurely coffee stops and a l-o-n-g picnic stop had something to do with it, but the views of Mont Blanc from the Col du Seine were well well well worth lingering over.
Eventually we descended into Italy, and called at the newly expanded Refugio Elisabetta, one of the two grand Italian ladies of the Alps, always a special place to pause, and now with some of the best panoramic windows I've ever seen.

Extra is a clouded yellow simply because they never seem to settle.
