La Petit Cache
Today started with promise but then the miserable weather descended and it is now softly drizzling away.
I managed to snap a quick picture on my way home at lunch. This old farmhouse was built around 1600. It is called La Petit Cache. Historically it was unusual for houses to be built away from a road front. In cases where they were, they were approached by a private driveway which was known in the local patois as 'une Cache' . In Guernsey there are several properties with the name Cache in their title, each having a driveway leading to the house. I have actually blipped the 'small driveway' before.
