Date night....
A morning of non stop heavy rain. It’s a good job we worked on last night to bale and wrap what grass was cut. It wasn’t bone dry by any means but it would have been a wash out today.
Spent the morning getting the cattle shed ready to tip barley in- lined the edges with big straw bales and silage sheets.
The rain eased off this afternoon so managed to get up a ladder to muck out the gutters at the front of the house which had been overflowing all morning. The ladder wouldn’t reach but managed with a bit of creative thinking and a tractor loader.
This is the date plaque on the ‘new’ bit of the house, the main part is a fair bit older. RD are the initials of the Landlord who built it , Robert Dundas. The estate is still owned by the same family.
