Happy Birthday Mum!

Today we went out to Alien Rock for our first climb of the year. When we got there it seemed like everyone else had also had the same idea and it was hard to find a free rope on a suitable route. Not long after it quietened down and we were able to enjoy our climb. I'm out of practice, injured and full of cold... well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. Was generally climbing on 4/4+ but did brave a couple of 5s only to be defeated part way up. It was hard work at times but a lot of fun. I even managed to not have a panic about being high up at any point!

We got to test out the climbing gear we got at Christmas and thankfully it all works well. Once home N came over for us to plot for February, our proposal is nearly complete we just need to alter and proof read it when we haven't had a glass of wine.

After that I was so tired there was only time for a few quick shots before bed. I tried on aperture priority (my standard for the Lumix) but just couldn't get the shutter speed quick enough even with the flash so I gave up, switched to auto then went to bed.
