Time to Ponder

It’s been wet all day today. It’s reminded me of the kind of day we had now and then on my childhood summer holidays. We would trudge around the local town, visiting damp and steamy shops and museums, along with what felt like all the other holiday makers on the south coast of England!

This weather is enjoyable if you can get dry and warm afterwards. It also makes me turn to books - a good thing as I read too little, in part as I spend all day in front of a screen at work and need to rest my eyes in the evening. I feel a real need at the moment, to be quiet and read and think.

Positives for today are Greta Thunberg setting off from Plymouth to sail across the Atlantic, rediscovering the delights of the Hampshire Library Service and the arrival of my grow table for my winter salad leaves and herbs. Hoping your day has had some good stuff in it too!
