Bat Mitzvah Day

Today it’s the group bar mitzvah party for all the children who’ve reached that age in the last 12 months ( 12 for girls and 13 for boys ).

My friend’s youngest daughter is one of the group. She was one year old when I left Israel to return to a life in England. She’s growing up to be a beautiful person. Her name is Sha-ked, which is Hebrew for almond.
