Small Tortoiseshell

We've had a pretty busy Saturday: the Park Run this morning, where I surprised myself by setting a Personal Best. 184 people out enjoying the improved weather this morning.

We followed that with a swim in the pool, a cycle to get some shopping then this afternoon we gave the car a long overdue clean inside and out.

Chris came round this evening to watch Yeovil's away game at Barrow on TV. It was a dreadful game and we were glad we hadn't made the 317 mile trip up there. The supporters' club coaches left at 8 this morning and one of them broke down on the way meaning that those fans didn't arrive until 6pm just in time for the second half which was only 41 seconds old when Barrow scored the only goal of the game. They the faced an 8 hour journey home again meaning they won't be home much before dawn tomorrow. 18 hours of travel to watch 45 minutes of shocking football - that's dedication for you!

This butterfly was one of several on the buddleia bush growing wild in the back lane. First butterfly blip of the season for me.
