A beautiful day meandering along the Oxford canal in unspoilt countryside although you can hear the hum of the M40 in the distance.
Today is Atticus’s 10th Birthday and we stopped at a canal pub fir him to open his presents, mainly cuddly toys and dog treats.
We’ve all had s go at steering the boat with varying degrees of success, and some bumps along the way. Getting through the locks is keeping us all busy and we can get off and walk for parts too to stretch our legs. Sam, chief steward, is putting together some lovely dishes and tonight we set up a BBQ on the bank and had pork and chicken with Thai rice noodles.
As it’s so quiet we can also put the music up and there’s been lots of random dancing.
