Knowing the ropes

A full day with the Scottish Government Gardening and Craft Club show. Setting up, exhibiting, helping new members, adding up the judges’ points, lunch with judges, opening the show, Prize giving, raffle, auction, tidy up, put away and ...... relax.

A good day with prizes one and shared. My tactic of entering as many classes as possible paid off and I came away with the overall points trophy.

From a blip perspective pleased that my photos won in each category.

For new members it was a matter of helping them understand what the judges were looking for and the little tips.

One section I don’t enter is the crafts one. Some superb pieces of work, from patchwork to quilting to creative works.

The main blip is of wooden links forming a rope. The extra is of a gravity defying cup.
