Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

We'll just stay at the top...

Popped down to see Rufus and his mum (and to get a page printed off on C's printer). The new steps from the kitchen to the back garden are almost finished - just a few bits of touching up (and hosing down) needed. This signals the end of Christine's renovations, which she started a year ago. Now she’ll be able to hang her washing out easily (the door out to the back is new) or to sit in the morning sun in her jammies if she so wishes. Neither dog was too sure about coming down the steps...

We continued our walk over the Links and onwards, with the aim of having a coffee in one of the many cafes there - they're mostly all dog friendly. Went into the Chocolate Tree, which is always so busy we usually don’t bother. But this time, the window seat was free. JR had a luxurious hot chocolate (Extra). Though I do love a hot chocolate (memories of Spanish holidays) I had a soya flat white (no extra charge for soya milk!)

The other two then walked the long way home while I took the short way.

We'll watch another couple of episodes of the Scandi series Liberty, as Sunday night TV is never very inspiring.

But I'm anticipating an action packed week in politics!
