Today's the day ……………………… to make cider

We may not have the grapevine that we had in our old garden - but here, we have apples - several trees-ful of them.

So today, Will started the process of making cider.  He picked 20lbs of apples that we think are ready and set about mashing them up to extract the juice that will eventually make a gallon of cider.  According to the recipe that he's following, it seems to happen much quicker with apples than it ever did with grapes.  If all goes to plan, we should have cider in a few months time.
