The writing on the wall

After another summer working at YMCA Frost Valley, Luke has been to San Francisco to visit Elodie and they are taking the taking the train back to New York, stopping off in Denver and Chicago. D and I went to Chicago in 2010 when D was speaking at a conference, so Luke asked me what they should see in the city.

Digging out my old albums (I still shot film in those days), I looked at our photos of the Field Museum, Millennium Park with the “Bean” sculpture and the fountains, the view from 103 floors up the Willis Tower, and the El which reminded me of The Blues Brothers. We also visited Chinatown, and I took this photo of some writing on the wall. A clear message even then.
