Flinch
Samuel was meeting a pal in Edinburgh today. Our supplies have been running low so Fiona dropped Charlie and I off in Musselburgh while she and Sadie went to restock in Tesco. I took Charlie round to feed the birds that hang around the footbridge over the Esk. It seemed that a lot of people had the same idea and there were about a half dozen separate feeders there. However, it would seem that the birds are insatiable.
I had to convince Charlie that the key to feeding birds like in the picture above is to not flinch. This is difficult at first as it's only natural to think the birds would be just as happy with a strip of finger as they would with a morsel of bread. But of course this isn't the case and we must trust their skillful mastery of the situation.
While there I bumped into Kevin and as we were chatting, Lee came along. By the time we walked up the river, Fiona and Sadie had finished in the Tesco situation.
