Diary of an Edinburgher

A wide angle day

Up the hill this morning to play with my wide angle lens/filter. Fabulous clouds. The trouble with a new phone is that they change everything, and do it all a different way from the last one. I usually do a burst when there's a bit of action, and indeed, when taking shots of people - avoids eyes shut etc. The new phone would not do bursts, but did a video instead. Most frustrating. When I came home I checked it out - just a different way of doing it. I know now.

We've swapped over to Nespresso pods (they're easily recycled) and got a new coffee machine. Trouble is, now I have to find a coffee pod that we both like. I popped down to the Nespresso shop in town and the young lady was very patient and made me a couple of samples. I chose a couple of different ones I quite liked, though she only had dairy milk, and I like soya milk now. I'm trying to recreate the lovely flat whites I get in (some) cafes. Can’t be that difficult.

I had fun in St.Andrews Square, taking wide angle shots. (Extras)
