His Name is Tristan

Tonight our great-grandson Tristan came with his mommy, our granddaughter Desiree, to visit for the weekend. They are staying at our daughter's home and we hope to spend more time with them this weekend.

Tristan was born February 16, 2007. We can hardly believe he is already 2 years old. When he was 7 months old his mom and dad decided to move from Big Bear Lake, California to Hobbs, New Mexico to be close to his mom's mom. Just a couple weeks ago they moved back to Big Bear. We had not seen him since June.

He's walking and talking, and full of energy. Last time we saw him, he had long curly hair and he was just beginning to talk.

It's been a long day with a good ending -- all morning at the doctor's for Rosie. Then an afternoon of working online with students. Dinner this evening with friends, and then little Tristan arrived about 8:00 p.m. and to our daughter's house we went.

It is moments before midnight. So good night from Southern California.
