Posing by a Rather Large Waterfall

We had another trip planned fir today on thre Golden Circle Tour. A coach ride to a Geyser, a waterfall and the parting of plates where the Game of Thrones was filmed.

Mr W read the booking form and thought we had to wait at Bus Stop 10, close to where we were picked up yesterday. So we waited and we waited and got soaking wet from the rain. I wore a Penis coloured poncho which was amusing as we were right opposite a Penis Museum but chose not to enter such an establishment!

Anyway the bus never came so we headed back to the hotel only to be told we were waiting in the wrong place so we missed the bus. Luckily the hotel where able to arrange another trip for us but it meant we had to pay for it again. But we decided it had to bre done. While we waited an hour in the hotel for our next pickup we were then told tonight's rescheduled Northern lights trip was cancelled due to the weather. I expected that as the cloud cover was more than yesterday. Such a shame but it just means we will have to come back to this amazing island again.

Anyway it was a great day with an interesting tour guide and some incredible adventures. The waterfall was breath taking.... so was the smell at the Geyser!!

Once we were back into Reykjavik we stopped at a lovely little Chinese restaurant for some pad thai, then had the most expensive cocktail ever in the hotel bar before heading back to our room to pack and have an early night as we needed to be up at 4am!!

Mr W spotted what he thought were the Nothern lights from our bedroom window so I excitedly took loads of pictures of it only to realise it was a lazer if somesort shining into the sky. Probably for all us poor tourists who never got to see them!!!!
