Make Every Day Memorable

Scotland's Wildlife!

A trip to the Scottish Highlands when Red Deer are rutting should present lots of photo opportunities but today the only wildlife we have seen at close quarters are a couple of very inquisitive pigs!

We elected to stay relatively local deciding to walk up Glen Coe after a quick visit to Glen Coe Lochan first. The walk around the small, manmade lake was pleasant enough but we were soon off again and parking up by the Clachagg Inn. As soon as we got out of the car the wind was blowing a hooley and straight down the valley. It was very hard work and we only managed to walk a third of the way up.
Being soft southerners we turned back to seek out a warming drink and something nice to eat.
After a respite from the weather we set off around the coast to Oban. The sun came out and it felt like we'd gone to another country.
Heading back we drove up Glen Orchy in the search of some wildlife.
It's a remote valley with only a single track road but the only animals we saw were this pair of pigs
