Checkin da Trees

Dry first thing, but it soon started to rain, and rained all day.  It finally eased tonight.  A tad breezy at times.

I've been working in the museum all day.  With the poor day, and the school holidays, we've had a busy day.  I finally got out walkies with Sammy, but he's mostly happy to play inside tonight.  We had two more Covid-19 cases linked to Shetland over the weekend.  This time it's students, who are away south.  A worry for their families.

I nipped down the road at lunchtime, to check on the trees we planted yesterday.  They are looking good, and getting a good watering.  The Alaskan willows grip well here, so should survive the winter.  They will get shelter from the east, with granddad's willows sheltering them, and hopefully they will eventually shelter and help the original willows.  The new row goes along the front, but hard to make out in the poor light.  Taken at the Aith Meadows, Cunningsburgh.
