Rutland Water

A leisurely start, then a trip to Rutland Water. Liz hadn't seen the church before,  though we were disappointed that it has been turned into a wedding venue and you can't go in and see it as it was. 

After a picnic lunch by the lake we went round to the nature reserve, which I hadn't been to before. Unfortunately we then had an hour or so of rain so we hid in the hides and took rather a lot of photos of the birds on the feeders. We also met the water vole See extra.


We moved on to Gates Garden Centre for afternoon tea and then both got some great bargains in the outdoor centre.
