Ecclestone
I don't often have bad days - a fact for which I am very, very grateful - but today, involving a trip down to Derbyshire, was a stinker. At least during the daytime it was. I guess it did end up OK but I can't say I enjoyed it much. It was work, I won't go into it here, and, you know, no one died.
HOWEVER
Salvation was at hand in the kindly form of Dom who had bought tickets for us to see Christopher Ecclestone at the Lowry, this evening, an event organised by Chorley's own independent bookshop, Ebb and Flo, for whom three cheers!
Dom was, as usual, on charming and champion form as we enjoyed a glass of wine beforehand, and Christopher Ecclestone was excellent, too. The chap with whom he wrote his book was asking the questions, which meant that his cues were just perfect, keeping the evening on course while giving CE the space to talk about whatever he wanted.
