Representative Cummings died this morning. I think he would have enjoyed the upcoming year. Things are getting exciting. Time to make popcorn.


On Saturday I photograph a family event for my friend whose mother died. I did some nice b&w shots of her brothers but not of her sisters and she'd like similar ones of them. This should be another chance to use the flash. I have a replacement shoe thing so I can connect the flash to the light stand.


I'm making a calendar too. Mine is a fundraiser. I'm so flattered that people would buy the calendar even though all of use get too many calendars, for free, in the mail and I expressly stated that these were NOT my best pictures but rather happy protest pictures. I only want the happy ones on the calendar because I think we are all feeling overwhelmed, but my strongest are often negative. Human emotions, evolved to keep us safe.
