Just being nosey

They’ve been working on a section of the Lichfield Canal restoration not too far from Waitrose. This horse sculpture appeared and so have some neat wildflower displays. 

It was horribly gloomy when I went down to Waitrose but not actually raining, so I decided to wander across to investigate.  

There was a really nice chap who explained that the Heritage trail is actually open and that you can park on the grass (so you don’t have the five minute walk along the busy by pass from Waitrose). This area is the Lichfield Basin but alongside the railway track you can get to the side of the canal and walk a circular route. 

It has a nice summer day written all over it.
