Making a point

I bought our tickets for “Manon”, the ballet, several months ago. I wanted to go to the National Portrait Gallery to see the “Pre-Raphaelite Women” exhibition.

Naively, I thought it would be straightforward. It’s turned out to be a very significant day in the future of the UK and central London was very unusual today.

Forget buses.

There was a really calm and friendly atmosphere. After I’d finished enjoying the exhibition, I wandered round the corner to Trafalgar Square.

Families. Groups of friends. Individuals of a hugely wide range of ages. All had turned out enthusiastically to make a point.

Will it make a difference ?

This may just be one more faltering step along a rough and winding road.......
