Sunrise

This is the last time we'll see the new sitting room looking like this. Today all the tiles arrived, along with two tilers, their boss, the delivery man, the under-architect and me. After a discussion about fine joints and 'coupe à la pierre', they seemed confident to set about their task. By the time I left at 9.30am they were marking out the axes of the room.

With a bit of luck they'll be able to go pretty speedily. The kitchen installer begins at the other end of this room on Monday. Yee hah!
