Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

Victor told me the other week that he gets pretty saddle sore out on his bike so I decided to get some padded cycling shorts as part of his birthday present.

I explained to Mary Doll recently that cycling shorts should be worn without underwear and she was completely aghast. The following week (after her cycling lesson), she told me that her two cycling instructors don’t wear underwear with their cycling shorts either. Having conducted a straw poll, she was quite satisfied that this information was correct and not further proof of my lack of moral fibre.

I suspect that the instructors share Mary Doll stories on their coffee breaks. She also asked one of them if ‘hoo ha cream’ was a real thing!
