Day 16 - Eastern Barn Owl

This morning we visited Desert Park in Alice Springs. It shows the wildlife and fauna of the area by means of 3 zones - sand country, desert rivers and woodland. There are 3km of tracks to explore and it wasn't quite as hot as I expected (it was still around 30 degrees though). There was also an excellent nocturnal house with some animals I had never even heard of. 

There was also a very good flying bird show which included this Eastern Barn Owl and a Whitstling Kite (extra)
