Sand art

Another note to self - next time, try this when the tide is going out, bit of a rushed affair. Not actually sure if you can see the picture on the sand or not, it looks ok in my photo album but perhaps hasn’t translated very well. So yes another spectacularly lazy beach day for me.
In my efforts to have a ‘not spend too much money’ day I have just sampled the local version of a pot noodle which is to be found in great abundance here. Not that bad! Greatly improved by a sachet of chilli and lemongrass oil I suspect.
On the subject of local foods, some of the fruits I purchased a couple of days ago have also been tasted now. A custard apple is a remarkable thing, tastes of custard believe it or not, along with apples and perhaps a hint of pineapple. A sapodilla is even more remarkable, looks like a pear but rounder and tastes really strongly of cinnamon stewed with some pear. Got to be some interesting puddings to be conjured up from them, or perhaps cocktails!
