One Dog Wrecking Ball

Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

Murphy and I went down to Earlston to go for a walk with The Disciple and his dog, Eric.

Murphy gets VERY excited when we go somewhere new. Half an hour after arriving, 3 of Eric’s toys were missing their eyes and ears. There was also a broken lamp (which was next to the toy box) because the glass globe shade looked like a ball! Eric, by comparison, is well-behaved, gentle and quiet and doesn’t get excited!

It was raining but we had a beautiful walk by the river. The forest was alight with autumn colours and Murphy just had the best time sniffing somewhere new. We will gloss over the Houdini moment where he managed to get through a fence and had a (mercifully brief) visit to a field with sheep.

It was a lovely way to spend the day. Stomping about a different forest and having cake and tea by the Aga when we came in all soggy.
