Cabin Fever

Had to get out the house today. Felt like the walls were closing in on me. Couldn't bear the thought of another day of missed naps and cleaning up after Audrey's feeds (finger foods, who's great idea were they?) So on a whim, we scooped up a change of clothes, some Ella's Kitchen (God bless Ella) and a changing bag and jumped in the Monster Truck and headed to the city.

Spent the day trundling round the streets (my old baby-free stomping ground - see blip pic from the NY-esque Northern Quarter - fact, this is actually Umbro's head office) and stalking my husband who spent the day interviewing for his new restaurant in the Radisson hotel.

And it was great. Well worth the hassle involved in leaving the house. Audrey seemed pretty happy too. She must have needed the break as well.

Tonight was Date Night. Graciela babysat while we went for dinner at Chorlton Green Brassiere (a new place on Beech Rd near us). We were tired but we enjoyed it nonetheless. Great food. My husband has links with the manager so we were treated to free drinks which is always a winner.

Home to find our angel hasn't even woken once while we've been out. Let's hope her (suspected) teething troubles are behind her tomorrow. Family Day. It's been a while. Can't wait.
