Christmas

Today was our fake Christmas Day..(extras).we wanted to have a little celebration and open the gifts that we had for each other before P heads back to Scotland . Jaiya found a couple of lovely sticks which we put in a vase got a few baubles from the supermarket and ‘VOILA’ an Australian Christmas tree.........A perfect creation to mirror our crispy weather conditions.

There are fires burning up and down the coast and inland the sky is thick with smoke so we didn’t go out much today until this afternoon when we went out for a very fine nosh then to the beach for a walk up to the point.The light was amazing and the sun was a bright red/orange ball.
We don’t know what the next couple of days is going to bring....and that is not just on the fire front..the floor of our house is being ripped up and the kitchen taken out....but in the grand scheme of things my prayers go out to those folk in the thick of the fire....we are hoping that they don’t get any closer.
