Pat at the Tyne pedestrian tunnel staircase.

Fellow blipper and walker Pat at the bottom of the long wooden escalator in the Tyne Pedestrian Tunnel, which we avoided by taking the lift. Good day to walk both ways in the tunnel to keep out of the rain.
It was originally built in the fifties, which is denoted by the fact that old border of the counties of Northumberland and Durham half through the tunnel is displayed on the tiles, whereas now of course it has been superceded by the Metropolitan Country of Tyne and Wear
