You can tell it's Saturday!
Oh I so loved my lie in until 8.30 this morning! Bliss!
I felt pretty lively and full of beans today, determined to get a few things done. Seeing there was a good deal on train tickets in March, I checked out ticket prices despite using planes so much these days. I love long train journeys but gave them up due to the ridiculous cost but getting Birmingham to Edinburgh First Class for £65 each way was too good to miss for my break. Great! All done!
Washing machine on followed by the tumble dryer was the next thing while I did a bit of general tidying up and chucking things out. It's amazing how good that makes you feel!
Next, it was off to Stratford upon Avon for a pint or three. It was bitterly cold out today and I would have taken an outdoor shot if I could have seen through my streaming eyes! The pavements were, however, fuller than last week and when I stepped back to take a picture of the Falcon Hotel with its lovely sign and Tudor facade I trod on someone's toe. Sod their toe! I nearly sprained my ankle!
It was into the safety of the Garrick Inn after that for Abbot Ale! While I was there, I thought I'd try discreet photography of strangers - after this shot of some of the regulars who don't care anyway - muting my phone and looking laid back as if I was reading a text message while pointing my phone at the little group of people nearby. Oh the shame! The flash went off and lit up the whole pub! I was mortified and felt like a criminal! I am exaggerating (slightly). The only person who did notice went out to the loo straight after (blinded by the flash probably) and the little group left the pub quickly when she returned! I wouldn't mind, but the picture was rubbish with red demonic eyes everywhere!
