Burgundy Iceberg

A favourite rose of mine is Burgundy Iceberg. The previous owners of our property thoughtfully planted three as standard roses. The flowers are a rich burgundy colour that fades very gracefully into elegant dark and dusky tones. I have found, over the years, that red flowers are very difficult to photograph. I have edited this image in Photoshop Express in an attempt to show accurate colours. Yesterday family members all departed, having to drive to their various properties in appalling weather. Son Duncan’s route home was disrupted by a large slip on Queen Charlotte Drive. He had to return to Blenheim and drive home via Picton and the eastern sections of Queen Charlotte Drive. .
