Diary of an Edinburgher

Double grumps

This weekend, for the first time for as long as we can remember, Archie had none of his usual walkers. Last weekend he had four! Anyway, the weather isn’t too enticing, and many of the students have exams at this time of year.

No worries - he's happy with whatever he gets - today it was round the Links and the Meadows with JR, fortunately the sun was shining for an hour or so.

We popped down to see Rufus and his mum (I needed to avail myself of Christine's printer) and they came with us to the Red Box for coffee (scones for us). Archie, of course, wasn’t too keen to come in, knowing it means a long time waiting under the table, but he had a wee pal this time, and Rufus doesn’t seem to mind.

The Brass Man failed to arrive yesterday, mainly because he'd given arrival details to JR on the phone, but she (sometimes) has problems understanding Scottish people. Profuse apologies, and a suggestion to use email next time.

We'll watch the last two (recorded) episodes of Spiral tonight. Very much enjoying it, though the plot is SO complicated, but it's really the characters' lives that one gets involved in (this is Series 7!)

Here's a rather dark fuzzy shot of a not-very-happy looking Archie, under the table with Rufus (in his nice Christmas Pudding jumper). He's not pleased because he's wearing his coat too. Double grumps.
