Second attempt needed

We tested the Christmas cake - and both decided it isn't good enough, dry and a bit chewy in places.... so another cake needed, I think I'll stay at home when the next one is baking!

The youngest still has a bit of a dodgy nose, poor love, nursery gave up wiping it as they kept making it bleed.

The eldest is very into wispering secrets into your ear - his favourite is to tell you that pudding should be a square of chocolate, said with much excitement and anticipation.  He also calls the advent calendar the 'number finder'.  He did his letters beautifully tonight, and read his story.  The youngest was VERY proud as his nursery have just started a mini library, they put a tractor ted book in there just for him, so at bedtime he had his own library book to read, a very happy boy.

Work was horribly busy and stressful today - last week of term, everyone on edge and a bit tetchy (tired).  I had a mint club biscuit for lunch, which I ate walking between meetings.  Sandwich and crumpet for dinner with the boys (couldn't wait for a proper meal with the husband), then a piece of cake mid-evening because I was hungry again (and again now!).  What a terrible, terrible diet today!
