I don't think I have ever felt quite so out of step with the thinking of what seems to be the majority of the UK?

I find the results of the elections yesterday deeply troubling - and the future way ahead for our country very gloomy indeed. BernardYoung has summed it up in his usual succinct and eloquent way.

In other news - to cheer the gloom - Will has taken delivery of a new oil painting by an Irish painter, Elizabeth Moorcroft entitled 'House on the Hill'.  It's full of bright colours and we're thinking of hanging it in our newly-decorated kitchen …………………...
