Carols by candlelight

This is an annual event and never has our little church been so full.  Mostly with people who are not from our village but they are welcome.  Always fun and the little people are invited up to sing the first verse of Away in A Manger... something my two daughters remember with a bit of dread and which always makes a tear come to my eye.
My eldest arrived safely all ready for Christmas and after the carols we headed out for dinner with one of her oldest friends from school.. so lovely they live about 7 minutes away now.  A hilarious evening full of good food and laughter... a wonderful start to Christmas.
(posted this when l got home but it disappeared.. no idea where to so I hope it stays this time.)
Extra is from the outside... such a welcoming sight to arrive to... there is magic in lit up church lights on a dark winters night
