Surprise
We decided to go down to the Point to see the sunrise to start the Winter solstice, A bank of cloud covered the other side of the Firth so the sun did not really make a show but we were surprised by a visit from an otter. He popped up in front of David and myself whilst we were sipping our hot spicy apple juice. He stayed for a minute and then swam off out of sight.
Lots of turnstones were along side the slipway wall.
The skiff was out and they rowed almost up to the lighthouse before turning round and returning to Avoch.
We all walked round to the Point. I could see dolphins breaching in the distance but they did not come any closer.
Some of the Brownies and Rainbows met up outside the Co op to carol sing.We moved on to the Christmas Tree to sing again. It was surprisingly quiet so either everyone has done their shopping or leaving it till the last few days so we did not have much of an audience. The girls enjoyed it though.
