Cafe Colombo, Rio Centro

A lovely day when we headed to Rio Centro in the morning with the plan of having breakfast at Cafe Colombo, pictured here.  We were surprised to get a table after just a few minutes as it looked like there was a long queue.  A long walk around the very lively streets of Saara, where you can find just about anything.  Indeed we did manage to find a new laundry basket, not the easiest thing to carry around as Bb would no doubt agree, but we had been looking for one of just this size.  It was hot today and so the cold beer as we left the busy streets was really welcome, as was the cupuacu flavoured ice cream.  It took us right back to Belem, at the mouth of the Amazon, and where we spent a month in January 2012 when I was working on a CELTA course.  Here's a link back to the start of that month:  https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/1620686
