Expedition

We did the expedition up to the Pentlands (Red Moss and Bavelaw Marsh) via the no 44 bus to the Balerno terminus. Since its route goes past his house, Shandonner joined us too!

It was a lovely day, quite mild, although a bit too windy for much birdlife to be on the wing. As well as this lovely avenue (that leads to nowhere as far as I can tell) a favourite sight was the copse of little lichen-covered trees at the Red Moss - see extra.
