Sunshine and Smiles

We both felt pretty tired today so it would have been easy to not bother doing the two things we enjoyed the most today, a long walk around Dunham Massey (top and bottom left) and dinner at Sugo’s (bottom right).

I’ve seen a lot of decade reviews here and other social media platforms. Jen and I were discussing this at dinner, we find it really hard to wrap it all up. I think the easiest way is based on the cities we lived in during this time.

Early 10’s - Inverness. A beautiful part of the world to live in. Sometimes the weather was tough but did make some easy snowy blips at times!

2013 - 2015 - Glasgow. Around 2011 and 2012 we wanted more adventure. We started to sow the seeds to try and live abroad. Glasgow was the first part of that. At the time we were there Glasgow was buzzing with Commonwealth Games hype. We also had one of the most spectacular living room views you could ever hope for!

2015 - 2019 - Perth, Western Australia. The big move! Looking back we were so controlled over it all. I just applied for an internal vacancy and got the job. Simple enough. Just had to move to the other side of the world, yeh we can deal with that. And we did. We loved our time there and it will always be a huge part of us. We experienced so many amazing things that don’t even seem real when I tell people about them now! We found our place in Subiaco (with all its cool things) and just lived every minute. Could always get a good coffee too!

2019 - Altrincham. Back ‘home’ but in a new part now in North West England. We’ve been here 6 months and are still exploring and enjoying life, especially with a fantastic market on our doorstep.

With 2020 set for our little family expansion I’m sure the next decade will be full of every emotion and even more adventure!
