Another Languedoc year...

Shock news!

Yep, snow near the Mediterranean. Yesterday the sky dropped a jolly dollop of around 5-10cm of snow up at our new house. There was a bit less lower down, at home in Roujan. The sun has shone brilliantly so, despite sub-zero overnight temperatures, a good deal of it has melted already.

We took the dogs to our vineyard at lunchtime and, happily for us all, there was still plenty of snow to play in.

Jonty the rescue dog obviously hasn't seen snow before so he spent last evening out in the snow , dragging his ever-growing tennis/snow ball backwards and forwards across the courtyard. Today the shingle has a mass of criss-crossing frozen gullies to trip over.
