Dust Storm in the Waimakariri Riverbed

A nor’west gale kicking up the dust. The air was full of it. Clouds of dust came billowing through the gorge at the bridge. I ventured out on the bridge to photograph it, but was afraid of being blown onto the carriageway.  The visibility was greatly reduced. In the white area on the right you should be able to see the river winding away for many kilometres.
