A damp, very boggy walk across the moor this morning.
Even the ponies were looking really miserable as they lined up with their rumps to the rain.
I was surprised to see a mare with her last season’s foal, munching on the prickly gorse bushes.
Looking around there wasn’t much else to eat.

Having heard that the Kestor Inn at Manaton did a good Sunday carvery, we headed over there to try it out.
Superb. Plenty of veggies, most importantly served hot and very good value
