The last day

Does anyone else find the end of the Christmas holidays more traumatic than others? There’s something sad about the collective end of all the festivities, the constant food, the constant people, the long lie-ins, the hours of reading and the joy of running in the daylight. I always feel grateful that we at least have a week’s reprieve while we head off to conference. I think I’d struggle even more with just going back to normal at the office tomorrow.

A glorious hour of reading in bed this morning (I’ll miss that) followed by a quick run before church. Then straight off to meet Lucy for some delicious Japanese food and a delightful ramble around the quarry as the sun gently lit up and then disappeared. A quick call-in at the Curtai for a catch up with chickensparrow et al and hear all their news. A lovely day to end a lovely holiday.
