Ready

Lashing rain, blowing a gale but what a party we had in Glasgow yesterday!  Despite the short notice and awful conditions, somewhere between 80 and 100 thousand of us took to the streets to register our desire to be a normal independent country, free from the failing political Union at Westminster.
This was my favourite photo of the day, two gents well prepared for the weather striding along Sauchiehall street deep in conversation.
There's a couple of extras for Snapper, who wasn't able to make it on the day- some cheery flags, and also  quite an emotional moment when we passed the Charles Rennie Mackintosh mural on the wall of the Clutha Bar.
If anyone is interested in hearing more about what motivates people to spend 3 hours on a Saturday in January tramping through the rain, there's a great compilation of interviews with people on the march by legendary filmmaker Phantom Power  here
