The Edge

Dear Diary,

Our recent mild temperatures have open up parts of the lake, something more common to March than January.  they never really froze completely solid to begin with.  Yesterday it hit 60F on my back porch!  Torrential rains today but the good news is the roof is not leaking and there is no ice build up!  So, a very good day for me.  Our warm weather continues today but tomorrow we will be back in the 20's so all this rain is going to freeze up and the lakes and ponds will become perfect skating surfaces.  That's great news for the kids.  I just hope the roads dry up before the temperature drops!
